Uhitha Kaladharshini Hall features a 150 - seat concert hall with 10-Keyboard, 25 Guitars, a 25 seat recital hall, choral and instrumental rehearsal hall, numerous classrooms, 8 practice rooms and 4 studio offices. Special features include an electronic composition lab, a music library with stereophonic and computer laboratories and 6 station Mac and PC lab for composition and other studies. The Music Room provides a space for students to come to find and explore music for lessons, performances, or personal edification. Contained within the library, there is a computer lab outfitted with PCs and Macs. The library collection contains approximately 13 scores, 80 recordings, 40 videos. Most books about music are shelved in Campbell Library, but there is a small collection of books kept in the music branch that have been chosen for their appropriateness to be used in direct conjunction with the score collection. A studio within the Department of Music can record from all performance spaces in the music building and maintains an archive of student and faculty performances. The archives contain tapes of all faculty, student and ensemble performances since 2000.
